Service questions
Practical questions
Can I hire only one service instead of the whole programme?
Yes. Many patients start with appointment booking alone, then add accompaniment once their dates are confirmed. We quote each service separately so you can choose exactly what you want.
How many hours a day does accompaniment cover?
A standard accompanied day covers the duration of your hospital activity, typically eight to ten hours, plus essential coordination outside those hours. Extended care or overnight attendance is available at an agreed hourly rate.
Can you attend a consultation in my place and send me the summary?
Yes. Where the hospital allows it and you provide written authorisation and your records, we can attend as your representative, ask prepared questions and return a written English summary. This is usually handled through our remote consultation service.
What happens if treatment takes longer than planned?
Extensions are common in medicine. We will tell you as soon as the treating team indicates a longer stay, and provide a supplementary quotation for the additional days before they are delivered.
Is a travel companion able to stay with me?
Yes. We arrange accommodation that suits two people, and can include your companion in travel and dining arrangements. Where hospital policy permits a family member to stay overnight, we help arrange it.
Can I manage my visit on my own without your services?
If you are comfortable using translation software, in theory yes. In practice, however, you would run into several problems:
- Appointments with senior specialists are very hard to secure — the chance of succeeding through self-booking is small.
- For ordinary patients, the wait for admission and treatment is long.
Our assistance resolves these problems for you.
Can I get a second opinion before deciding on surgery?
Patients who have been offered an operation at home often want a senior Chinese surgeon to review the imaging and confirm whether surgery is genuinely necessary. A written opinion usually takes under a week.
How much will my treatment actually cost?
We cannot price a case without records, but we can give a realistic range immediately and a written estimate once the department confirms the plan. Our pricing page lists indicative figures for common procedures.
Can you help after I have already returned home?
Yes. Follow-up check-ins, translated documents, medication sourcing where lawful, and remote consultations with the same clinical team are all handled by our aftercare service.
What records should I attach?
Discharge summaries, imaging reports, pathology results, recent blood work and a medication list. Scans or DICOM files are welcome if you have them.
Is the initial review really free?
Yes. Reviewing your enquiry and giving a first assessment costs nothing and carries no obligation. Fees begin only when you sign a service agreement.
How are my documents handled?
They are stored on restricted systems, shared only with clinicians involved in your case, and deleted on request once your enquiry is closed.
Do you answer questions in my language?
We correspond in English and Chinese. For other languages we use a professional translation service and will tell you when that applies.
